Health & Human Services

The NHBP Health and Human Services Department (HHSD) holds the responsibility of providing and coordinating access to quality culturally based health and social services to promote overall wellbeing. Federally recognized American Indian, Alaska Natives and descendants, and NHBP employees are eligible to receive services at one of the three health facilities.

The HHSD staff incorporates traditional approaches, trauma informed and integrated care in the delivery of medical, behavioral health, dental, home visiting and social services to address all aspects of wellness: emotional, mental, physical and spiritual.

The department also oversees many events and programs for disease prevention and health promotion throughout the year. The department frequently works with outside vendors, partners, as well as other NHBP departments.
